Mike Neigh, a pastor at Durkeetown Baptist Church, and his late son, Jackson, who died suddenly in September 2018.
Dear Pastors / Elders and Deacons,
You're invited to join us for a seminar called Equipping Elders & Deacons. This annual event is “spring training” for local church leaders — who are encouraged to attend together as a team. This spring we aim to address how a church is to care for a pastor who experiences deep sorrow and grief with a plenary session, a panel discussion, a workshop, and ample time for Q & A.
As you may know, Mike Neigh, a local pastor and one of our G.A. founding men, experienced great loss with the death of his son, Jackson, in September 2018. We think it would be uniquely helpful to talk through the challenges to a church when their leader is the one in deepest grief. This focus will also help us deal with the grief of others in our churches too.
Please register for this one day seminar, bringing your deacons, elders, and future leaders. We hope your whole team can come. We’ll enjoy coffee & refreshments on site (breaking for lunch at local restaurants), as you fellowship with other men from across the region. Since we'd like ALL your leaders to attend together, there is one price per church ($75) regardless of how many attend from your church (scholarships are available for small churches).
